Sunset at Ao Nang Beach

Just a short songthaew ride away from Krabi you’ll find the picturesque Ao Nang Beach. What was once a backpacker haven, the Ao Nang area has slowly become gentrified with mid-ranged accommodation and restaurants popping up everywhere. However, it’s still a great place to watch the sun set in the horizon.

Ao Nang Beach is a long stretch of sand upon which you’ll find loads of people strolling and frolicking in the shallow water. Tourists bask in the sun desperately trying to brown themselves before their long trip home. But, you’ll never ever find the locals tanning, because the Thai culture finds beauty in the fairest of skin tones.

With a cold drink in hand, I sat on a bench and watched as the sun sank toward the water. Brilliant streaks of orange and pink slowly spread and expanded until they covered the sky. It was relaxing and a nice way to unwind.

Trev is still not able to do much but I’m “young and fit and healthy”, thanks. Vonnie is coming for afternoon tea today (Sunday). Very hot here at present and will be 37 degrees again today. You are looking fabulous on your exciting trip. Hope you continue to have a good time and share your happiness with so many through your website as well as in person.

  4. Sorry to hear about Trevor, but I’m sure he’s making the best of things, especially with you by his side. Wishing you all the best and hi to everyone. Take care!
